Commenting on the Government's recent announcement to restructure Health Trusts, Lib Dem Councillor Colin Strong said: "Nine years into this Labour government and they are still subjecting the NHS yet again to more upheaval. Why don't they let the Primary Care Trusts get on and provide good patient care instead of this constant merry-go round of NHS reform?"
He continued: "Tony Blair should be more worried about the severe financial problems in the NHS than with restructuring. We are told there will be redundancies as half of PCTs disappear, but we don't know how many jobs are at risk. It's time this Government got its act together."
