Cllr Colin Strong welcomes Grade II listing for Ashford War Memorial

Lifelong Ashford resident Cllr Colin Strong has warmly welcomed the news that the War Memorial in Ashford has been given a Grade II listing.

Leader of the Opposition Cllr Strong commented "The memorial at the junction of Fordbridge Rd and Church Rd has always been part of my life. I am very happy that this important landmark is secure. I strongly support the move that English Heritage has made as the memorial is of special interest and warrants protection."
