at the forefront of the campaign against the Conservatives plans to impose on-street parking charges in our town and village centres across Surrey. These plans are totally wrong.
Lib Dem campaigners have raised a petition against the plans to show the Conservative County Council the strength of feeling across our Borough.
Lib Dems have pressed the Conservative County Council to come to a firm decision concerning whether or not the Council is to implement a Car Parking Zone (CPZ) across Staines. Many residents have complained of Conservative inaction on this.
Fought against the introduction of car parking charges in our small car parks. Actual revenue from Ashford multi-storey car park, Laleham park and Lammas park combined is 90% lower than the Conservatives originally budgeted for. No wonder the finances are in a mess!
Lib Dems have also supported resident petitions against the charges that have led to local problems with cars parked on the nearby roads rather than in the small car parks.

Orchard meadow car park, Lower Sunbury
