Chris has lived in Ashford and Staines for over 40 years. He is a natural campaigner who fought tirelessly for the local community long before he was elected to Spelthorne Borough Council for Staines South Ward in May 2019.
There he has continued his mission, championing many local causes and ready to take on residents' individual issues. Not only has Chris an impressive 100% council meeting attendance record, he also makes sure he attends other relevant meetings whether in an official capacity or not. He is determined that residents should be properly represented and kept up to date with what's happening. As well as using social media and running a Local Advice Surgery he produces a regular newsletter delivered to all households keeping them up to date with activities.
Before retiring in June, Chris worked in the local bus industry for 46 years, working his way up through the ranks culminating in a senior management role where he was responsible for a large workforce and for a substantial budget. He believes these everyday experiences enable him to easily connect with and help local people.
Chris is ready and willing to work as part of a team, cross-party if necessary, to ensure the best outcomes for the people he represents.
