Kempton Park want to know who is travelling where and when - we ask why

Sunbury residents were horrified by the sudden appearance of 69 cameras in the area. They actually stretched from Hampton Church to the Shears junction, with the biggest concentration around Sunbury Cross. No doubt what they were for: it was all to do with the Kempton Park Green Belt Development

The aim was not simply to count traffic flows but to monitor traffic movement. If each camera only recorded for 12 hours that is still 750 hours of data to monitor. This sort of survey does not come cheap. An operation like this costs tens of thousands of pounds, but the Tories say 'Nothing is happening' .

Cllr Ian Beardsmore said 'Conservatives are still insisting they know nothing about the huge development proposed on Kempton Park's Green Belt.' It just does not make sense; developers would not be spend this much money unless they expected to be successful"
