Big Liberal Democrat gains in the Spelthorne elections

5 May 2019
Lib Dems winning

Liberal Democrat candidates have made significant advances across Spelthorne and now have 8 councillors on Halliford and Sunbury West (3), Sunbury Common (2) Staines South (2) and Sunbury East (1).

All our candidates would like to say a big

to everyone who voted for us. We saw a big increase in our vote in every ward we contested. The success is a tribute to the many hours of hard work put in by candidates and supporters over the last few weeks and months.

The success is particularly gratifying as it followed a positive campaign with the Lib Dems putting forward policies that are aimed at benefiting all residents and not just seeking to rubbish the ruling Conservatives. Now the work will begin to make a real impact on the Council and bring about positive change.
