Coronavirus Update
We are in unprecedented times as Corona Virus looks set to change our lives for the foreseeable future. Our most important statement is to ensure that people do the best they can to protect themselves and remain as calm as possible. There is lots of information that is shared online, our message is simple - Please follow the advice coming from Public Health England and use the 111 service online for advice on self-isolation. More information can be found on the Spelthorne Council site.
You may or may not be aware that the Spelthorne Borough Council has suspended its formal meeting schedule and there will undoubtedly be changes to the services that we normally enjoy as resources will be stretched. Nonetheless, our role as representatives will continue and we will continue to serve our communities.
As your local Councillors, we will continue to liaise with officers on Council matters and continue to be available to residents either over the phone or by email. Whilst maintaining our own safety, we will also be consulting with local stakeholders such as the food banks to help support the most vulnerable. We will try and be as helpful as possible during this difficult time. Our advice is still available and we will do our best to connect you with those who can help you out where possible.
In the meantime, we'd like to place on the record our thanks to the workers in our public services who are continuing to deliver incredible services in very difficult circumstances. There is a fantastic community here in Spelthorne and online we can see how people are already caring for those around them.
Stay safe and if in any doubt, do not hesitate to reach out.
