Council Officers, Key Workers and Volunteers in Spelthorne thanked
Thank You motion proposed and passed at Council
In recognition of the extra work that has been undertaken by Spelthorne Borough Council Officers, Key Workers and Volunteers in Spelthorne, at the last Council meeting for 2020, our group decided it was important to bring the following motion forward. It is in recognition that Officers at Spelthorne have gone above and beyond their normal duties to ensure that the community, especially the vulnerable, have food, medicines and in some cases a friend to talk to over the telephone. We also wanted to recognise the Key Workers who have worked tirelessly to keep our buses running and our shops open and, of course, our NHS workers who have put their own health at risk in treating patients with Covid19.
The motion was proposed by Cllr Sandra Dunn and seconded by Cllr Robin Sider and reads:
We would like to propose a vote of thanks to our Officers, as well as our Key Workers and volunteers, for all their hard work during 2020 with the challenges that have arisen due to the pandemic. We hope that in the New Year of 2021 we can look forward to a return to normality and working together as a strong team to best serve the needs of our residents.
