The closure of recycling stations during the first part of lockdown resulted in widespread fly tipping throughout the Borough. This steadily became a blight in many places resulting in threats to health and safety for our residents.
In one locality - Stainash Parade in Staines - initial dumping became a magnet for others to simply add to the pile. Concerned residents raised the issue with me and I am pleased to say that with swift intervention the offending debris has been removed leaving the area clean and tidy.
