Lib Dem Pupil Premium Means £660k EXTRA for Local Schools

Liberal Democrats have achieved another of thier manifesto promises in establishing the 'Pupil Premium'. This means extra money to schools depending on how many disadvantaged children they have. IN Spelthorne it amounts to £660k this year alone. It is an important way of giving additional funding to schools which reflects the problems theyt are facing.


Cllr Ian Beardsmore was delighted with the announcment by Lib Dem education minister Sarah Teather and said "This is another major election pledge we have kept. It will give benefits across the entire school and would never have happened without us in Governnment"
