As a member, you are writing to invite you to the 2020 Spelthorne & Runnymede Liberal Democrats Annual General Meeting (AGM) which will take place as a virtual meeting on Friday 6th November 2020 at 7.30pm.

We are delighted to be able to hold the AGM on-line during these challenging times. Apart from the usual AGM business, we will be voting on a motion to revert the local party of Spelthorne & Runnymede back to two individual local parties.

The formation of two separate parties (one for Spelthorne and one for Runnymede) will enable each party to focus on their own members and residents within the individual boroughs.

Every member who attends the AGM will have an opportunity to debate the motion, as well as vote for either remaining together or dividing into two parties.

When the vote is complete, we will need to elect/appoint both Officer & Ordinary members for the local Executive, either as one local party or the two new parties of Spelthorne and Runnymede, respectively. The positions required to form an executive include:

Chair
Treasurer
Secretary
Membership Secretary
Data Officer
Non-Officer members

The roles are open to all members. If you are interested in any of these positions, I would be grateful if you could complete the nomination papers before the meeting and return them to 16 Loudwater Road, Sunbury, TW16 6DB or to info@spelthornelibdems.org.uk as soon as possible. The Executive Committee meets four times a year and helps to shape the Local Party's priorities. If you require further information on these roles, please do not hesitate to contact me.

How to access the meeting:

If you are a member, you can request a Zoom link for the meeting from info@spelthornelibdems.org.uk

We very much look forward to seeing you on the 6th November 2020.

Sylvia Whyte
Chair - Spelthorne & Runnymede Liberal Democrats
