School Walk to Hazelwood Right of Way

Dear Resident,

We are writing as a number of residents in the area have been concerned with upcoming plans for the land at the end of School Walk next to the Scout hut and Hazelwood. A developer has earmarked the land for future use, but this risks the future of the right of way pedestrian path that has been used for many years.

A local campaign has been established online, trying to encourage as many responses as possible, and we want to throw our weight behind this so we can try to negotiate the best outcome for residents. For this, we need people to submit Right of Way evidence forms to Surrey County Council. We have provided a link to the Ramblers Association which explains the process and a form for submission to Surrey County Council. A Copy of the form from Surrey County Council can also be found and downloaded here.

As a Councillor, Sandra has a strong record of holding developers to account in our area, and we have discussed this with dog-walkers, school parents, scout hut users and the residents living close by who all use this path. However, for us to make a strong case, we need evidence from you. Several have already filled out forms, but we would like you to join them.

The process of filling out the form only takes a short while, but it could make a major difference. If you need assistance in getting the form, completing the form or simply have questions about the campaign, please contact us using the details at the top of this letter.

If you have completed the application, you can either send direct to Surrey County Council, or we will be happy to submit them on your behalf, if you return them to the Freepost address below. No deadline has been set as yet, but the sooner we get responses the sooner we can act on this.
