So, who can you trust on housing?
This was the question asked by a Conservative Councillor in response to a letter to the Surrey Herald by Lib Dem Councillor Tony Crabb. Our answer is "Not the Conservatives".
In a letter to the Surrey Herald, published on the 3rd November, Councillor Tony Crabb pointed out that the Conservatives must face up to their responsibilities in respect of over development in Spelthorne. A link to the text of Councillor Crabb's letter is at the foot of this article. A response to this letter, from Tory Councillor Richard Smith-Ainsley, was published on the 8th December. In this letter he made a number of criticisms of Councillor Crabb, notably that he was misleading residents.
The Liberal Democrats stand fully behind Councillor Crabb's statements and strongly refute all the Tory allegations.
