Spelthorne Local Development Plan - Have your say
A consultation has opened on the first draft of the 'LDF' (Local Development Framework). This is the blueprint of what happens to Spelthorne over the next 10 years or more. Green Belt and Housing are at the heart of it. With the Conservative government ruthlessly driving the over-development agenda demanded by the big builders, it is essential that local residents make their voice heard.
Of course we need new housing, but currently we are not getting what we need but what the developers have decided to give us, forcing many younger local residents out the area. Also crucial to the plan are the infrastructure requirements; roads, schools, health and many other important services which are lagging far behind the growing demand.
