Surrey Council are having an exhibition about the plans for the old fire station in Sunbury

5 Dec 2022
Proposed Sunbury Community Hub

About Sunbury Fire Station

The fire station closed in 2019 and operations moved to Fordbridge fire station on Kingston Road. The site has been allocated in the Spelthorne District Local Plan as being appropriate for development. In December 2020, pre-application discussion with Surrey County Council began and in March 2021 the existing buildings were demolished. The vacant site is an ideal location for a community hub, with strong transport connections and close to local amenities such as schools, doctor's surgeries and restaurants.

Surrey County Council Vision

They envision a vibrant and multi-use community hub, which will provide a new and enhanced venue to deliver crucial community services. The scheme will establish a focal point for community activities and provide a range of services.
