After successfully halting plans for an Active Travel Scheme in Lower Sunbury we now find this is again the topic of a survey by Surrey County Council. The initial scheme called for the closure of Thames Street and Lower Hampton Road to enable pedestrians and cyclists to move freely whilst motorists would be diverted up Green Street and the surrounding roads. This would also have an impact on the Sunbury Cross roundabout and at peak times on the traffic visiting the schools in Nursery Road.
