Dear Charity
I am writing round to you to advertise the proposed date of our Sponsored Walk in 2021.
Shepperton & Sunbury Rotary are planning to hold the Waterways of Shepperton 10km Sponsored Walk on Sunday 9 May 2021.
For those of you who have walked before, you know that there is a £6 Entry Fee per person to join our Sponsored Walk and then you raise money for your own Preferred Charity. There will be no extra charge made by Rotary, although we will ask you to confirm how much money you manage to raise for your Charity.
We had to cancel this walk both in May & September 2020 and as, during 2020, it was so hard to raise money for your Charity we hope that as many of you as possible will join us this year to raise as much money as you can!
Please confirm if you would like to join us by emailing me (see below) and I will send you the Sponsorship Forms & joining instructions, although I know that many of you may prefer to raise money directly for your Preferred Charity online.
On Sunday 9 May, you will arrive at 9.30am in Manor Park Car Park, Shepperton ready for at 10am Departure. Shepperton & Sunbury Rotary will provide Walks Leaders and End Walkers so no-one gets lost, as well as Marshalls to help you cross the roads and aid people, should they have any problems. We will also supply water.
We will, of course, ensure that Rotary is Covid Secure when you do your Walk. However, should the Government & Rotary Guidelines tell us that we are unable to run the Sponsored Walk again in 2021, we will, instead, ask you all to walk the 10km Sponsored Walk yourselves - either round your garden multiple times, or by completing a guaranteed 10km within your own neighbourhood. We do hope, however, that we will indeed be able to run our Waterways of Shepperton Sponsored Walk!
