Spelthorne Conservatives vote to further restrict scrutiny of the Council
At the Council meeting on the 17th December the Conservatives voted through another change to procedure to further reduce the scrutiny that the Council will have to face. The change was to amend the Code of Corporate Governance to remove the requirement to present an annual scrutiny report.

London Irish planning applications submitted for move to Hazelwood and 194 houses on the Avenue
Two planning applications have been submitted by London Irish Rugby Club which, if approved, will have a major impact on Lower Sunbury. One application is to relocate their pitches and clubhouse to what is now Hazelwood golf course and the other is to build 194 houses on the existing site in the Avenue.
